History of Electric Car.

We think that electric car is new and that nobody thinks of that before, but it is not a modern invention, the idea of electric car appears in 1834. Why the thermal is so present? Just because they have evolved more quickly so they took the place of the motor car.

The first prototype was built in 1834 by a scot businessman named Robert Anderson. The prototype was based on a horse-drawn carriage and doesn’t have refillable battery.

In 1859, the Frenchman Gaston PlantĂ© invents the first refillable lead-acid battery.

But the first all electric model to be present at a motor show was in 1881 by another Frenchman named Gustave TrouvĂ©. It was at the international exhibition of electricity of Paris, but it wasn’t a car, it was a tricycle.

From 1884, many people started to make electric car, some people say that is the British Thomas Parker who is the author of the real first electric car.

In 1897, the first electric taxis begin to circulate on New-York streets.

In 1899, a car breaks a world record, the "Jamais contente" was the first electric car to run faster than a thermal car, the record is more than 100 km/h.

When the Ford T is thrown, in 1908, the electric motor car began to lose of its popularity and was forgotten over time until the oil crisis of 1973.

Since 1973, many car manufacturers started to make electric model. But there is not a lot of positive aspect (very expensive, small autonomy, etc.), the only one is the environmental impact that is less than a thermic car.

Cars with clean energy are more and more present on roads for less than ten years. But quietly, they begin to take their place and to become more affordable while improving ceaselessly their autonomy.

I am sure that in few year, their will have more electric car than thermal car on our roads!
